Good news the City has posted the supplementary notes on the acquisition of 838 Broadview. Play close attention to the addition from the President of the Toronto Parking Authority:
The President, Toronto Parking Authority recommends that:
- City Council direct that the Toronto Parking Authority retain the existing commercial building as a rental property, and the ancillary parking area be operated as a municipal parking facility, until such time it is determined that the site can be redeveloped for a mid-rise building with ancillary surface / underground parking; such development to be in keeping with the Broadview Avenue Planning Study which will be considered by City Council in 2016.”
That means the store and the karate school can stay until the right kind of development comes along.
